- Clean fields make for safer fields. Be aware of foreign objects on surfaces of fields and parking lots that could cause harm or injury such as glass, metal, twigs, rocks or other debris.
- Don't allow players to run off to restrooms or port a pots alone. Encourage the buddy system or have an adult walk to and from with players.
- All Players should have their own drink or water bottle clearly marked with their name on it.
- Players must always wear shin guards.
- No jewelry allowed. Ear rings, rings, bracelets, hair clips, etc.. must be removed to prevent injuries.
- No climbing on any goals, nets, fences, bleachers, back stops or trees.
- Players can become dehydrated quickly in the heat. Take frequent water breaks during practices and games. Suggestion: On those warmer days, coaches and ref(s) should agree before the game to take a quick water break for all, half way thru each quarter. This same practice can be used when teams are lacking subs not allowing players to be rotated in and out for water.
- Always have a cell phone available at all activities.
- check goals for sharp edges. Portable goals should be anchored. Players should not be moving portable goals. Solicit help of adults to move goals.
- Medical Release forms should always be on hand at all events.
- Know your players. Be aware of asthma, allergies or other possible conditions.
- Be aware of weather conditions. Weather can change quickly.
- No chewing of gum, candy or food while practicing or playing.
- Never leave a player alone. Never be left alone with a player. Be sure everyone has a ride. Ask another adult if they can wait also until the players ride arrives. This protects everyone involved.
- Drive slowly and with caution when entering parking lots. Players as well as siblings are full of excitement and energy and capable of darting in and out of anywhere.
- Please report any concerns.
