U9 and older - Heartland League rules

Recent rule Changes:

U5/U6
1.  Changing to two 16 minute halves instead of 4 eight minute quarters.
2.  All free kicks are indirect.
3.  On goal kicks, opposing team must move back to mid-field and cannot come forward until the ball is kicked.    Goal kicks do not need to clear the penalty box, before being touched by another player (offense or defense)
4.  No player is allowed in the ARC in front of the goal.

U7/U8
1.  All goalies must wear gloves.
2.  One referee per game.
3.  Referee must check players for equipment and player cards before each game.  Any player that does not have a player card with a picture will not be allowed to play.  Cards must be laminated.
4.  Referee's must have a volunteer from each team call the lines (out of bounds) for each game.  That volunteer should not be a coach or assistant coach unless absolutely necessary.  Volunteers should not indicate direction of throw or kick, unless specifically asked by the referee.
