Many of the KC Fusion - Disidore U13 girls participated in the Safehome 3v3 tournament, sponsored by former KC Chief legend, Will Shields, held at Mid American Sports Complex in Shawnee on a beautiful October 25th day. The girls split into equal strength teams and were placed in opposite pools. In the end, they found themselves facing each other in fun yet competitive finals. The girls had a fabulous day and everyone was a winner, especially the Safehome shelter, which received all proceeds from the event. SAFEHOME’s vision is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault and the mission is to break the cycle of sexual and domestic violence and abuse. The goal of shelter services is to provide a healing atmosphere where survivors can gain inner strength, build self-esteem, explore options and establish a life free of violence
